GERMAN HERITAGE SEMINARS

Together with the National Archives Australia (NAA) QLD office, GACCQ co-hosted the first seminar in October 2024, which was met with great acclaim. The event launched the digital edition of GACCQ’s “Queensland’s German Connections” book, alongside other insightful presentations. You can see more photos of the 2024 event HERE, and the 2025 seminar is shaping up to be just as interesting, with preeminent German genealogical expert Eric Kopittke sharing his wealth of information

Digital book

GACCQ’s flagship publication, “Queensland’s German Connections”, was first published in 2012, launched on the ceremonial handover of the Honorary Consul role from the book’s instigator, Detlef Sulzer, to his consular successor, Professor Michael Schuetz, at a public event at Old Government House in Brisbane.

More than a decade later, in 2025, with the exhaustion of availability of the last of the printed copies in GACCQ stocks, this unique publication has now been made available as a digital ‘FlippingBook’ e-publication!
